Islandpferde vom Eekenholm is an Icelandic-horse yard on a farmstead dating from 1821 in Lilienthal-Seebergen, five minutes from Bremen-Borgfeld. Barbara Reichenberger and Ulrike Gast offer boarding in several open-stable groups with direct pasture access, or in large loose boxes with outdoor paddocks, for around forty Icelandic horses and a few larger horses. Facilities include a small indoor school, a sand arena, an oval track, a round pen and a grass arena for in-hand work, with extensive hacking through the Wümme meadows. Riding lessons for children and adults are given on the yard, equine-assisted therapy is offered, and a visiting instructor teaches the classical-academic style.

Leevster Hof - Anne-Kathrin Glandorf

Three barns hold about 80 boxes — paddock, window and interior — with daily mucking out, organic hay and weekday turnout. Facilities include a 45x22 m indoor school with LED lighting and a lungeing hall with two circles. Qualified riding instruction and schooling are available on site, and the yard breeds Hanoverian horses.

It teaches riding to beginners, returning riders and advanced riders on well-schooled club horses, and runs a dedicated children's pony hour. Vaulting is a second major discipline, with its own instruction and competition squads. The club also operates a livery yard at its site on Im Orth, with an indoor school and published stabling prices. It hosts dressage shows, WBO competitions, vaulting competitions and an end-of-indoor-season event each year.

It is mainly a leisure-riding club but brings in outside instructors for dressage and jumping lessons. The yard has 7 pony boxes and 15 horse boxes, two of them outdoor boxes, with all-day summer grazing and winter turnout on outdoor paddocks. There is a small indoor school, a 20 x 40 m arena and hacking straight from the grounds, plus the club's own school horses and ponies. Lessons run for children and young people at the weekend and for adults during the week.

Reit- und Fahrverein Lehre und Umgebung e.V. is a volunteer-run riding club founded in 1987 between Braunschweig and Wolfsburg. It teaches children from the age of four upward on its own three ponies and four horses, working through a three-stage training system. Lessons cover far more than riding: members learn horse care, stable management and feeding so that they can eventually look after a horse of their own. Reitstall Smidt is a family-run riding stable at Bingum on the East Frisian dike beside the river Ems, near Leer. The yard runs a riding school taking pupils from the age of six and teaches dressage and jumping on its own horses.
